I acknowledge that this is by far the least interesting aspect of my journey thus far, but I firmly believe that the everyday should be acknowledged alongside the unusual. The two aren't so different; there's always something extraordinary in the banal.

All that's missing there are rooftop cages for roller pigeons. Think,"On the Waterfront," Brando, Lee J. Cobb. Some Kansas City rooftops also used to have ( maybe still do) those bird cages. Generally they were in the old Italian district near City Market.An observer once noticed them while hanging around, watching who arrived to attend funerals for departed Mafioso.
